Miroslaw Chudy

Miroslaw Chudy was born in Wielun, Poland. He is a Miami-based artist previously living in Chicago. Chudy studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Poland. He earned his MFA in 1987 at the Prof. Konrad Jarodzki Painting Studio. He left Poland in 80's and move to Greece, Canada and the USA. In 1988-89 he studied at the State College of Fine Arts in Athens, Greece. His paintings and drawings are strongly connected with tradition of Polish New Expressionism known as Neue Wilde/Nouveaux Fauves or New Image movement. In Crowd series Chudy combines black & white acrylic paintings with black & white video projections focusing on minute prtraits of Chicago famous Michign Avenue and other cities.
