A Bad Break

My aunt was diagnosed with osteoporosis shortly after she started going through menopause. This was not shocking because it has plagued many women in my family. She was given a prescription for Fosamax and she felt things would only get better from there. After being on the drug for a bit over six years, she started complaining that something did not feel right. She is a bit ornery so everyone thought she was just complaining in order to garner attention. There were constant complaints from her about leg pain and the fact she was having difficulty walking. After she complained for a while, I told her that maybe she should go see a doctor. I went with her to have an x-ray done and it was discovered that she had a fracture of the femur. I asked her if she had fallen or anything and she said she hadn’t. After speaking with her doctor, we were convinced that the problem was due to her taking Fosamax. She is now trying to find an attorney to help her file a Fosamax lawsuit.
